African High Tea 2019

We celebrated our beautiful culture at our annual high tea fundraiser. The ladies were asked to dress in an African style, some ladies wore more traditional outfits, while others wore more African inspired outfits. We had a guest speaker come and share her story with us and how Choices for Life has helped her. We had an amazing movement piece from students at Amanzimtoti High. We were very blessed by our community and their support by donating refreshments for our event.

It was an amazing morning of prayer and assistance for the centre. The intent of the
tea was to reach out to the churches for support for the pregnancy resource
centre Choices for Life. With no government support we rely on our local
community to sustain the centre. Our plea is for financial support towards
expenses like electricity, telephone bill, petrol bill. It costs R800 a week
to send a councillor to the schools or clinics.

We ask that our local donors continue with their pledges to see us through
these difficult times. Our staff at the centre are an absolute blessing
coming to work daily without money to pay stipends and salaries.

Pastor Wesley and Corienne Pulvenis from Cedar Hill are going to be hosting
a business man’s breakfast to help raise funds for the centre. We will
advise more details at a later date.

We ask the community to please bring in 2nd hand clothing or unwanted items
so that we can have a jumble sale  and raise the urgently needed funds.
Items can be dropped off at 10 Nelson Road Amanzimtoti ( opposite the
magistrate courts) or we can collect.

I want to thank all the pastors and their wives that attended and the church
representatives. We really appreciated sharing the morning with you.

The Baby Shower for new moms

Baby Shower for first time moms. These amazing people came and donated their time to talk and advise the moms in CPR & Choking in infants, baby massage & bonding with their baby and how the ambulance team would assist when you are in labor. Our amazing team at Choices for Life help organize and assist through out the morning. The new mommies were spoiled with gifts to help them with their new babies.
